Fluoride Action Network | Printer-Friendly
Version

1) 97% of western Europe has chosen fluoride-free
water . This includes:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern
Ireland, Norway,
Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland. (While some European
countries add fluoride to salt, the majority do not.)
Thus, rather than mandating fluoride treatment for the
whole population, western Europe allows individuals the right to choose,
or refuse, fluoride.

2) Fluoride is the only
chemical added to drinking
water for the purpose of medication (to prevent
tooth decay). All other treatment chemicals
are added to treat the water (to improve the water's
quality and safety - which fluoride does not do). This is
one of the reasons why most of Europe has rejected
fluoridation.
              For instance:

In Germany,
"The
argumentation of the Federal Ministry of Health against
a general permission of fluoridation of drinking water
is the problematic nature of compulsion medication."

In Belgium,

it is "the fundamental position of the drinking water
sector that it is not its task to deliver medicinal
treatment
to people. This is the sole responsibility of
health
                services."

In Luxembourg,

"In our views, drinking water isn't the suitable way
for medicinal treatment and that people needing an
addition
of fluoride can decide by their own to use the most
appropriate
                way."

3) Contrary to previous belief, fluoride has minimal
benefit when swallowed. When water fluoridation
began in the 1940s and '50s, dentists believed that fluoride needed to
be swallowed in order to be most effective. This belief, however, has
now been discredited by an extensive body of modern
research (1).

According to the Centers for Disease
Control, fluoride's "predominant effect is posteruptive and topical"
(2). In other words, any benefits that accrue from the use of fluoride,
come from the direct application of fluoride to the outside of teeth
(after they have erupted into the mouth) and not from ingestion. There is
no need, therefore, to expose all other tissues to fluoride by
swallowing it.

4) Fluoridated water is no longer
recommended for babies. In November of 2006, the American
Dental Association (ADA) advised that parents should avoid giving
babies fluoridated water (3). Other dental researchers
have made similar recommendations over the past decade (4).

Babies exposed to fluoride are at high
risk of developing dental
fluorosis - a permanent tooth defect caused by fluoride damaging the
cells which form the teeth (5). Other tissues in the body may also be
affected by early-life exposures to fluoride. According to a recent
review published in the medical journal The Lancet, fluoride
may damage the developing brain, causing learning deficits and other
problems (6).

5) There are better ways of
delivering fluoride than adding it to water. By
adding fluoride to everyone's tap water, many infants and other at-risk
populations will be put in harm's way. This is not only wrong, it is
unnecessary. As western Europe has demonstrated, there are many equally
effective and less-intrusive ways of delivering fluoride to people who
actually want it. For example:

A) Topical fluoride products such as
toothpaste and mouthrinses (which come with explicit instructions not to swallow) are
readily available at all grocery stores and pharmacies. Thus, for those
individuals who wish to use fluoride, it is very easy to find and very
inexpensive to buy.

If there is concern that some people
in the community cannot afford to purchase fluoride toothpaste (a
family-size tube of toothpaste costs as little as $2 to $3), the money
saved by not fluoridating the water can be spent subsidizing topical
fluoride products (or non-fluoride alternatives) for those families in
need.

C) The vast majority of fluoride added
to water supplies is wasted, since over 99% of tap water is not actually
consumed by a human being. It is used instead to wash cars, water the
lawn, wash dishes, flush toilets, etc.

6) Ingestion of fluoride
has little benefit, but many risks. Whereas fluoride's
benefits come from topical
contact with teeth, its risks
to health (which involve many more tissues than the teeth) result from
being swallowed.

Adverse effects from fluoride ingestion
have been associated with doses atttainable by people living in
fluoridated areas. For example:

a) Risk to the brain. According
to the National Research Council (NRC), fluoride can damage the brain. Animal
studies conducted in the 1990s by EPA scientists found dementia-like
effects at the same concentration (1 ppm) used to fluoridate water,
while human studies have found adverse effects on IQ at levels as low as
0.9 ppm among children with nutrient deficiencies, and 1.8 ppm among
children with adequate nutrient intake. (7-10)

b) Risk to the thyroid gland. According
to the NRC, fluoride is an “endocrine
disrupter.” Most notably, the NRC has warned that doses of fluoride
(0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day) achievable by drinking fluoridated water, may
reduce the function of the thyroid among individuals with low-iodine
intake. Reduction of thyroid activity can lead to loss of mental acuity,
depression and weight gain (11)

c) Risk to bones. According
to the NRC, fluoride can diminish bone strength and increase the risk
for bone
fracture. While the NRC was unable to determine what level of
fluoride is safe for bones, it noted that the best available information
suggests that fracture risk may be increased at levels as low 1.5 ppm,
which is only slightly higher than the concentration (0.7-1.2 ppm) added
to water for fluoridation. (12)

d) Risk for bone cancer.
Animal and human studies – including a recent study from a team of
Harvard scientists – have found a connection between fluoride and a
serious form of bone
cancer (osteosarcoma) in males under the age of 20. The connection
between fluoride and osteosarcoma has been described by the National
Toxicology Program as "biologically plausible." Up to half of
adolescents who develop osteosarcoma die within a few years of
diagnosis. (13-16)

e) Risk to kidney patients. People
with kidney disease have a heightened susceptibility to fluoride
toxicity. The heightened risk stems from an impaired ability to excrete
fluoride from the body. As a result, toxic levels of fluoride can
accumulate in the bones, intensify the toxicity of aluminum build-up,
and cause or exacerbate a painful bone disease known as renal
osteodystrophy. (17-19)

7) The industrial chemicals
used to fluoridate water may present unique health risks not
found with naturally-occurring fluoride complexes . The
chemicals - fluorosilicic acid, sodium silicofluoride, and sodium
fluoride - used to fluoridate drinking water are industrial waste
products from the phosphate
fertilizer industry. Of these chemicals, fluorosilicic acid (FSA)
is the most widely used. FSA is a corrosive acid which has been linked
to higher
blood lead levels in children. A recent study
from the University of North Carolina found that FSA can - in
combination with chlorinated compounds - leach lead from brass joints
in water pipes, while a recent study from the University of Maryland
suggests that the effect of fluoridation chemicals on blood lead levels
may be greatest in houses built prior to 1946. Lead is a neurotoxin
that can cause learning disabilities and behavioral problems in
children. (20-23)

8) Water fluoridation’s benefits
to teeth have been exaggerated. Even proponents of
water fluoridation admit that it is not as effective as it was once
claimed to be. While proponents still believe in its effectiveness, a
growing number of studies strongly question this assessment. (24-46)
According to a systematic review published by the Ontario Ministry of
Health and Long Term Care, "The magnitude of [fluoridation's] effect is
not large in absolute terms, is often not statistically significant and
may not be of clinical significance." (36)

a) No difference exists in tooth decay
between fluoridated & unfluoridated countries. While
water fluoridation is often credited with causing the reduction in tooth
decay that has occurred in the US over the past 50 years, the same
reductions in tooth decay have occurred in all western
countries, most of which have never added fluoride to their water. The
vast majority of western
Europe has rejected water fluoridation. Yet, according to
comprehensive data
from the World Health Organization, their tooth
decay rates are just as low, and, in fact, often lower than the
tooth decay rates in the US. (25, 35, 44)

b) Cavities do not increase when
fluoridation stops. In contrast to earlier findings, five
studies published since 2000 have reported no increase in tooth decay in
communities which have ended fluoridation. (37-41)

c) Fluoridation does not
prevent oral health crises in low-income areas. While
some allege that fluoridation is especially effective for low-income
communities, there is very little evidence to support this claim.
According to a recent systematic review from the
British government, "The evidence about [fluoridation] reducing
inequalities in dental health was of poor quality, contradictory and
unreliable." (45) In the United States, severe dental crises
are occurring in low-income areas irrespective of whether the community
has fluoride added to its water supply. (46) In addition, several
studies have confirmed that the incidence of severe tooth decay in
children (“baby bottle tooth decay”) is not significantly different in
fluoridated vs unfluoridated areas. (27,32,42) Thus, despite some
emotionally-based claims to the contrary, water fluoridation does not
prevent the oral health problems related to poverty and lack of
dental-care access.

9) Fluoridation poses added
burden and risk to low-income
communities. Rather than being particularly
beneficial to low-income communities, fluoridation is particularly
burdensome and harmful. For example:

a) Low-income families are
least able to avoid fluoridated water. Due
to the high costs of buying bottled water or expensive water filters,
low-income households will be least able to avoid fluoride once it's
added to the water. As a result, low-income families will be least
capable of following ADA’s recommendation that infants should not
receive fluoridated water. This may explain why African American
children have been found to suffer the highest
rates of disfiguring dental fluorosis in the US. (47)

b) Low-income families at
greater risk of fluoride toxicity. In addition, it is now
well established that individuals with inadequate nutrient intake have a
significantly increased susceptibility to fluoride’s toxic effects.
(48-51) Since nutrient deficiencies are most common in low-income
communities, and since diseases known to increase susceptibility to
fluoride are most prevalent in low-income areas (e.g. end-stage renal
failure), it is likely that low-income communities will be at greatest
risk from suffering adverse effects associated with fluoride exposure.
According to Dr.
Kathleen Thiessen, a member of the National Research Council's
review of fluoride toxicity: “I would expect low-income communities to
be more vulnerable to at least some of the effects of drinking
fluoridated water." (51)

10) Due to other sources, many people
are being over-exposed to fluoride . Unlike when water
fluoridation first began, Americans are now receiving fluoride from
many other sources*
besides the water supply. As a result many people are now exceeding the
recommended daily intake, putting them at elevated risk of suffering toxic effects. For
example, many children ingest more fluoride from toothpaste alone
than is considered “optimal” for a full day’s worth of ingestion.
According to the Journal of Public Health Dentistry:

"Virtually all authors have noted that some children
could ingest more fluoride from [toothpaste] alone than is recommended
as a total daily fluoride ingestion." (52)

Because of the increase in fluoride
exposure from all sources combined, the rate of dental fluorosis
(a visible indicator of over-exposure to fluoride during childhood) has
increased significantly over the past 50 years. Whereas dental
fluorosis used to impact less than 10% of children in the 1940s, the
latest national survey found that it now affects over 30% of children.
(47, 53)

* Sources of fluoride include:
fluoride dental products, fluoride pesticides, fluorinated
pharmaceuticals, processed foods made with fluoridated water, and tea.

to question terror suspects, with the Bush administration arguing that
by doing so the panel would "cross" a "line" and obstruct the
administration's efforts to protect the nation. Citing the need to
"Safeguard the national security, including protection of Americans from
[their] future terrorist attacks," the government officials demanded

170310top2" border="1" height="333" width="500">

Documents recently obtained by the ACLU show that the
government warned the 9/11 Commission against getting to the bottom of
the September 11 terror attacks in a letter signed by Attorney General
John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and CIA Director
George J. Tenet.

In a letter dated January 6, 2004, the Commission was
refused permission to question terrorist detainees, with inquiry
leaders Hamilton and Kean being told there was “A line that the
Commission should not cross,” in the course of its investigation.

A PDF of the letter (page 26) can be read here.

The government urged the Commission, “Not to further
pursue the proposed request to participate in the questioning of
detainees,” according to the letter, citing the need to “Safeguard the
national security, including protection of Americans from future
terrorist attacks.”

The warning was just one example of how the Bush
administration fiercely struggled to prevent the 9/11 Commission from
conducting a deeper probe into the attacks. Bush and Cheney
refused to appear before the Commission separately and both refused
to testify under oath, instead meeting with panel members informally
and in private, with no recordings of the meeting allowed.

“It appears that David Addington took the lead on
refusing the 9/11 Commission’s request,” writes
the FireDogLake blog. “It appears Addington got the draft of the
letter from 9/11 Commission–which was addressed to Rummy and George
Tenet. Tenet and Addington clearly had a conversation about how to
respond. But it seems that Addington drafted the response, got Condi,
Andy Card, and Alberto Gonzales to review it, and then sent it to Tenet
(and, presumably, Rummy) to okay and sign the letter.”

As FireDogLake rightly points out, this was part of an
attempt to cover-up the systematic torture of detainees which did not
fully come to light until the Abu Ghraib scandal was exposed in April
2004.

However, the refusal to allow access to detainees was
also undoubtedly so that the Commission members couldn’t later blow the
whistle on the fact that the men were nothing more than patsies and goat
herders who had nothing whatsoever to do with the 9/11 attacks.

As we have constantly emphasized in the face of establishment media
spin that has demonized the mere act of questioning the official 9/11
story, the majority of the 9/11 Commission members themselves have all
gone on record to publicly slam the official story as untrue.

The
senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission – John Farmer – said that
the government agreed not to tell the truth about 9/11, echoing the
assertions of fellow 9/11 Commission members who concluded that the
Pentagon was engaged in deliberate deception about their response to
the attack.

Senator Max Cleland, who resigned from the 9/11 Commission after
calling it a “national scandal”, stated
in a 2003 PBS interview,

“I’m saying that’s deliberate. I am saying that the delay in
relating this information to the American public out of a hearing…
series of hearings, that several members of Congress knew eight or ten
months ago, including Bob Graham and others, that was deliberately slow
walked… the 9/11 Commission was deliberately slow walked, because the
Administration’s policy was, and its priority was, we’re gonna take
Saddam Hussein out.”

Cleland, speaking
  with Democracy Now, said,

“One of these days we will have to get the full story because the
9-11 issue is so important to America. But this White House wants to
cover it up”.

In 2006 the Washington Post reported that several members of the
9/11 Commission suspected deception on part of the Pentagon. As
  reported,

“Some staff members and commissioners of the Sept. 11 panel
concluded that the Pentagon’s initial story of how it reacted to the
2001 terrorist attacks may have been part of a deliberate effort to
mislead the commission and the public rather than a reflection of the
fog of events on that day, according to sources involved in the debate.”

9/11 Commissioner Bob Kerry also has unanswered questions. As
reported by Salon, he believes that there are legitimate reasons
to believe an alternative version to the official story.

“There are ample reasons to suspect that there may be some
alternative to what we outlined in our version,” Kerry said. The
commission had limited time and limited resources to pursue its
investigation, and its access to key documents and witnesses was
fettered by the administration.

Commissioner Tim Roemer, speaking
to CNN, stated that Commission members were considering a criminal
probe of false statements. As quoted,

“We were extremely frustrated with the false statements we were
getting,” Roemer told CNN. “We were not sure of the intent, whether it
was to deceive the commission or merely part of the fumbling
bureaucracy.”

Despite the fact that the majority of 9/11 Commission members have
openly attacked the official story, the corporate media still frames
any suspicion surrounding 9/11 as baseless conspiracy fodder at best, and
at worst – terrorist and extremist propaganda.

against crossing the lines in its probes.

Leaked
confidential documents have revealed that senior officials from the
former US administration had warned a 9/11 investigation panel against
probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks.

In a letter obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU),
the 9/11 Commission was refused permission to question terror suspects,
with the Bush administration arguing that by doing so the panel would
"cross" a "line" and obstruct the administration's efforts to protect
the nation.

Citing the need to "Safeguard the national security, including
protection of Americans from future terrorist attacks," the government
officials demanded the Commission not make further attempts at
conducting a deeper probe into the September 11 terror attacks.

"As the officers of the United States responsible for the law
enforcement, defense and intelligence functions of the Government, we
urge your Commission not to further pursue the proposed request to
participate in the questioning of detainees," the letter said.

The warning note dated January 6, 2004 has been signed by former
Attorney General John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and
CIA Director George Tenet.

The 9/11 Commission was set up in November 2002 to prepare a full
account of the circumstances surrounding the attacks, which still have
an air of suspicion around them.

The revelation comes as according to a recent survey, one-quarter of
US adults believe that the 2001 terrorist attacks were fabricated.

News Program, Study Finds" height="245" width="350">

ScienceDaily
(Feb. 11, 2010) — A fictional television drama may be more effective in
persuading young women to use birth control than a news-format program
on the same issue, according to a new study. Researchers found that
college-age women who viewed a televised drama about a teen pregnancy
felt more vulnerable two weeks after watching the show, and this led to
more support for using birth control.

However, those who watched a news program detailing the difficulties
caused by teen pregnancies were unmoved, and had no change in their
intentions to use birth control.

The results show the power that narratives like TV shows can
have in influencing people, said Emily Moyer-Gusé, co-author of
the study and assistant professor of communication at Ohio State
University.

“A message that is hidden inside of a story may overcome some
of the resistance people have to being told how to behave,”
Moyer-Gusé said.

“The impact that dramatized stories have on people’s beliefs and
intentions depends a lot on the individual viewers, and not just the
message — but our results suggest the effect can be there.”

Moyer-Gusé conducted the study with Robin Nabi of the University of
California, Santa Barbara. Their research appears in the current issue
of the journal Human Communication Research.

The study involved 353 undergraduate students between the ages of 18
and 25. All of them watched one of two programs that focused on the
difficulties associated with unplanned teen pregnancies. Half of the
participants watched a program developed by the National Campaign to
Prevent Teen Pregnancy to be broadcast on Channel One — a news program
that airs in many U.S. high schools. This program used a news format,
and profiled male and female teen parents. The overall message was that
teen pregnancy makes life as a young adult more difficult.

The remaining participants watched an episode of the U.S. teen drama,
The OC. In this episode, high-school students Ryan and Theresa faced
the difficult consequences of an unintended pregnancy. The programs were
pre-tested with other students, who agreed that they both had the same
main message concerning the difficulties of teen pregnancy.

Before watching the programs, participants completed questionnaires
concerning how often they used some form of birth control if they were
sexually active, and their intentions to use birth control over the next
year. Immediately after viewing the programs, participants filled out
questionnaires concerning how much they were emotionally involved in the
program, how much they identified with the characters, and other issues
concerning their response to the programs they viewed.

Two weeks later, they were contacted again and asked about their
intentions to use birth control. The researchers found that male and
females had different responses to the programs.

Watching the news-format program had no effect on men’s safe-sex
intentions two weeks later.

But two weeks after watching The OC, men said they were actually less
likely to follow birth control practices than they did before they
viewed the program. That was probably because men reported they didn’t
like the program as much as women did, and didn’t identify with the
characters, Moyer-Gusé said.

Women had a different reaction to the programs. The news-format
program had no effect on their intentions to use birth control. But
those who watched The OC episode were more likely to report in two weeks
that they planned on taking steps to prevent pregnancy.

The findings revealed some of the underlying mechanisms that made the
TV drama persuasive to many women viewers.

Findings showed that viewers who said they identified with the two
main characters in The OC episode also felt, when contacted two weeks
later, that they were more vulnerable to an unplanned pregnancy. That,
in turn, led to greater intentions to use birth control.

“Many of the women participants were able to put themselves in the
place of the characters and sense they could end up in a similar
situation if they weren’t careful,” Moyer-Gusé said.

Feeling vulnerable was the key to accepting birth control practices
for the women in the study.

“One of the reasons why some people avoid safer sex behaviors is
because they feel invulnerable — they have this optimistic bias that
nothing bad will ever happen to them,” she said. “But if you vicariously
experience a bad result happening to you by watching a narrative
program, that may change behavior in a way that is difficult to achieve
through a direct message.”

Participants, particularly women, were more likely to be persuaded to
use birth control if they felt the program they watched didn’t have an
overt safe-sex message. Most people didn’t think The OC episode was
preaching the use of birth control, but those who did were much less
likely to increase their intentions to use birth control, the findings
showed.

In addition, those who reported that they reacted to the characters
in The OC as if they were friends were also less likely to see an overt
message in the show, and were more likely to accept birth control
practices.

Moyer-Gusé emphasized that the results don’t mean that men aren’t
persuaded by narratives such as TV dramas.

“The show we chose happened to connect less with the men. But if we
picked another topic or another show, I believe a narrative program
could also be persuasive to male viewers.”

While these results suggest persuasive messages might be better
received by people if they are wrapped up in a story, Moyer-Gusé
cautions that it isn’t always that simple. As the different reactions of
men and women in this study showed, a lot depends on the individual
viewers and not just the message.

“The problem with using stories to persuade people is that people can
interpret them in different ways. You don’t always get the results you
expect,” she said.

Youngsters at Grace Academy in Chelmsley Wood
claim they returned from half-term to find staff had installed the
cameras without notifying them or their parents.

Some parents are
furious at what they say is a "total invasion of privacy" and claim some
pupils are so anxious about being watched they are refusing to use the
facilities.

One mother whose teenage daughter attends the school
is concerned the footage could fall into the wrong hands.

She told
the Sunday Mercury: "She came home from school and told me security
cameras had been installed in the girl's toilets but we didn't know
anything about it.

"You would expect the school to have consulted
parents first yet we received no information and no letters have been
sent home explaining this decision."

Grace Academy claims the
cameras only cover the sink areas and have not yet been activated.

School
principal Terry Wales told Sky News: "It's to safeguard our youngsters,
many schools are using cameras now.

"We had a parents' forum last
night, we explained the arrangements and the parents were satisfied.

"We've
found that when it comes to health and safety, children want to feel
secure."

But privacy campaigners warned about the psychological
effects of the feeling of being watched, even if cameras are not
switched on.

Dylan Sharpe from Big Brother
Watch told Sky News: "Children are entitled to privacy like anyone else.

"We're
raising a generation of children accustomed to being constantly watched
and monitored, whether cameras are switched on or not."

Grace
Academy already has 26 CCTV cameras watching other parts of the school.

The
incident is the latest row to erupt between schools and parents who are
concerned about safeguarding their children's privacy.

Last year
police were called to a school in Salford after parents were horrified
to discover children had been filmed changing into their PE kit.

Although
the footage was not misused, police seized the film after negotiating
with the school.

In 2007 it was revealed schools had fingerprinted
thousands of primary school children without their parent's consent.

The
Department for Children, Schools and Families later ruled that if
schools want to obtain and store biometric data from children, consent
is not required from parents.

Primary school children in tears after they are told they will be removed from families as part of Holocaust 'game'

A group of stunned primary schoolchildren began crying when their
teacher told them during a bizarre Holocaust game that they were to be
taken away from their families.

The pupils, aged 11, became upset
after a number of them were segregated and told they were being sent
away or might end up in an orphanage.

The ordeal was meant to give
the youngsters at the Lanarkshire school an insight into the horrors
faced by Jewish children during World War II.

The exercise was
intended to give the pupils at St Hilary's Primary School an insight
into the horrors faced by Jewish children during World War II

But
the exercise, which was sprung without warning on the children
at St Hilary's Primary School in East Kilbride last Thursday morning,
reduced several to tears.

Deputy head teacher Elizabeth McGlynn segregated nine pupils and
told them they were to be sent away. After 15 minutes they were told it
was all an act but that the role play would carry on up to lunchtime.

One angry parent, who has lodged an official complaint about the
exercise, told how the 'barbaric' role play upset the children.

In a letter sent to council bosses, the unnamed mother said: 'Mrs
McGlynn told the children they would probably have to be sent away from
their families and that their parents had been informed about this and
knew all about it.

'When one child asked if that meant they might have to go to an
orphanage, they were told that might be a possibility.

'At that point many of the children became very distressed.

'One boy kicked his chair over, one was angry and demanded to speak
to someone in charge but most were crying on a scale ranging from
mildly to severely.

'Their ordeal lasted between 12 and 15 minutes before the children
were informed that it was all an act but that the role play would
continue until lunchtime.'

One girl said her classmates began crying when Mrs McGlynn told them
she had a letter from the Scottish Executive saying nine children had
to be separated from their classmates.

She told the shocked youngsters those who were born in January,
February and March had lower IQs than other children, 'due to lack of
sunlight in their mother's womb', and that they had to put yellow hats
on and be sent to the library.

The mother added: 'When I asked why on earth they thought it was
appropriate to deliver a role play situation to the children in this
way, Mrs Stewart informed me that they didn't inform the children
beforehand.

'This was because they wanted the children to experience an
"accurate emotional response" to this scenario in order for it to be
reflected in their story writing.

'Mrs Stewart then invited me to come up to the school and see the
excellent work that had been produced as a result of the exercise.

'I declined and my position and opinion on the method used to
extract emotive story writing from the children was cruel, barbaric,
traumatic and totally, totally unethical.

'My daughter and indeed no child needs to feel the terror, fear,
panic, segregation and horror that a child of the Holocaust experienced
during one of the worst atrocities in history to be able to empathise
with them in order to produce good story writing.'

A South Lanarkshire council spokeswoman, who confirmed that a role
play activity took place, said: 'The council can confirm that a parent
handed in a letter to Education Resources on Monday, March 8, 2010, and
this will be responded to shortly.'

An estimated six million Jews died in the Holocaust. Jewish children
in Nazi Europe had to wear yellow Star of David badges during World War
II.

Jews also had to live apart from the rest of the population in
ghettos.

Finally they were taken to concentration camps, where most were
separated from their parents then killed.

Vaccines 'are making our dogs sick as vets cash in'

Vaccines given to dogs are making them ill, a pet charity claimed
yesterday.

Profit-hungry drug companies and vets are
'frightening' dog owners into inoculating their pets more often than
necessary, according to Canine Health Concern.

Some puppies
have developed conditions including autism and epilepsy after a raft of
injections, it warns.

Catherine O'Driscoll, from the charity,
said: 'We are not anti-vaccination. What we are saying is that
currently our pets are receiving far too many.

'The latest
scientific research shows that after the first course of injections as a
puppy most dogs are immune against these diseases for at least seven
years, if not for life.

'Every year pet vaccination companies
hold National Vaccination Month, a national campaign when pet owners
whose boosters have lapsed by 18 months or more are terrified into
having their pet jabbed.

'While the vast majority of vets
might simply not be aware of the latest scientific research, we are
concerned that for a few undoubtedly doing multiple jabs is a way of
making more money from worried pet owners.'

Puppies are
vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, leptospirosis and
parainfluenza up to three times by the age of four months.

They
may also be immunised against coronavirus, rabies, Lyme disease and
bordetella or kennel cough. Booster shots are given every year or every
three or four years.

But some have suffered dramatic changes
in behaviour or been diagnosed with cancer within months of the
injections, Canine Health Concern says.

In a letter backed by
17 vets and other pet experts, the charity has called on the Veterinary
Medicines Directorate, which monitors animal vaccines, to issue new
advice on their use.

Mrs O'Driscoll, who believes cats and
rabbits could also be at risk, added that a simple blood test would
determine whether an animal needed a booster shot.

Richard
Allport, a Hertfordshire vet who has signed the letter to the VMD, said
he was 'constantly' seeing animals that had developed 'worrying
symptoms' after vaccination.

But other animal charities said
vaccination was vital. The Dogs Trust said all jabs were thoroughly
tested for safety and warned that blood tests were not completely
reliable. Its veterinary director, Chris Laurence, said a study looking
for a connection between jabs and sudden ill-health failed to find a
link.

Professor Steve Dean, chief executive of the VMD, said:
'Many veterinary surgeons can remember the devastating effects these
once common-diseases had on our pets, their owners and families, and the
huge benefit vaccines have had on improving the health and welfare of
the canine population should be recognised.'

A spokesman
added that the 80million-plus doses of vaccine since 1985 had generated
fewer than 7,000 reports of side effects.

MYFOXNY.COM - Some New York City chefs and
restaurant owners are taking aim at a bill introduced in the New York
Legislature that, if passed, would ban the use of salt in restaurant
cooking.

"No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state
shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food for
consumption by customers of such restaurant, including food prepared to
be consumed on the premises of such restaurant or off of such premises,"
the bill, A. 10129 , states in part.

The
legislation, which Assemblyman Felix
Ortiz , D-Brooklyn, introduced on March 5, would fine
restaurants $1,000 for each violation.

"The consumer needs to
make their own health choices. Just as doctors and the occasional visit
to a hospital can't truly control how a person chooses to maintain their
health, neither can chefs nor the occasional visit to a restaurant,"
said Jeff Nathan, the executive chef and co-owner of Abigael's on
Broadway. "Modifying trans fats and sodium intake needs to be home based
for optimal health. Regulating restaurants will not solve this health
issue."

Nathan is part of the group My Food
My Choice , which calls itself a coalition of chefs,
restaurant owners, and consumers, called the proposed law "absurd" in a
press release issued on its Facebook page.

Ortiz has said the
salt ban would allow restaurant patrons to decide how salty they want
their meals to be.

"In this way, consumers have more control over
the amount of sodium they intake, and are given the option to exercise
healthier diets and healthier lifestyles," Ortiz said, according to a Nation's Restaurant News report.

But many chefs and restaurant owners said they are tired of
politicians dictating what they can serve and what people can eat. They
have opposed the city's anti-sodium and anti-transfat campaigns.

"Chefs
would be handcuffed in their food preparation, and many are already in
open rebellion over this legislation," said Orit Sklar, of My Food My
Choice. "Ortiz and fellow anti-salt zealot Mayor Michael Bloomberg of
New York City seek to undermine the food and restaurant business in the
entire state."

The American Heart Association encourages
Americans to reduce their sodium intake and has advocated the
reduction of sodium used by food manufacturers and restaurants by 50
percent over a 10-year period.

ABC Vs.
The “investigative” team at WCVB TV in Boston ran a
story yesterday about an unknown substance in fluoride imported from
China. “Team 5 Investigates found the Amesbury Water Department pulled
fluoride from its system amid concerns about its supply from China,”
the news station reported. “Department of Public Works Director Rob
Desmarais said after he mixes the white powder with water, 40 percent
of it will not dissolve.” Desmarais said the residue clogs his
machines and makes it difficult to get a consistent level of fluoride
in the town’s water.

A screen capture from the WCVB TV
report reveals fluoride added to drinking water is a deadly toxin.

In the video report below, WCVB mentions melamine in food products
and the heavy metal cadmium in toys imported from China while
completely ignoring the larger and more important issue — fluoride is
an extremely dangerous toxin that kills.

“Fluoride is added to the water most of us drink because the
government believes it’s a safe and inexpensive way to prevent tooth
decay.”

Fluoride does not prevent tooth decay. According to numerous studies, water fluoridation
actually increases tooth decay. The AMA and others fallaciously claim
that fluoride added to over 62% of U.S. water supplies reduces tooth
decay. However, no less than six studies from dental journals show it
does not and, in fact, may increase the likelihood of dental cavities.

Exposure to fluoride often results in dental fluorosis. Large
numbers of U.S. young people — estimated up to 80 percent in some cities — now have dental
fluorosis, the first visible sign of excessive fluoride exposure.
Dental fluorosis consists of damage to tooth-forming cells, leading to a
defect in tooth enamel. It is also an indicator of fluoride damage to
bones.

WCVB TV’s own report reveals that fluoride is a deadly chemical.
Near the beginning of the video, we are shown an industrial sized bag
of fluoride at the Amesbury Water Department. “Sodium Fluoride,” a
label on the bag warns, “Danger! Poison-Toxic by Ingestion.” The label
states the chemical targets the heart, kidneys, bones, central nervous
system, the gastrointestinal system, and teeth.

Studies reveal fluoride also attacks the immune and respiratory
systems. It negatively affects blood circulation and accumulates in the
bones. It attacks thyroid function. Fluoride also accelerates aging. Austrian
researchers proved in the 1970s that as little as 1 ppm fluoride
concentration can disrupt DNA repair enzymes by 50%. When DNA can’t
repair damaged cells, advanced aging occurs. Researchers from Harvard
University and the National Institutes of Health knew in the 1960s that
fluoride
disrupted collagen synthesis and increased aging.

Instead of the in-your-face danger of fluoride presented in the
“investigative” news report, the intrepid reporters at WCVB concentrate
on the mystery substance from China and connect it to melamine and
cadmium. Talk about missing the forest for the trees.

The fluoride added to 90% of drinking water is hydrofluoric acid
which is a compound of fluorine that is a chemical byproduct of
aluminum, steel, cement, phosphate, and nuclear weapons manufacturing.
“In this form, fluoride has no nutrient value whatsoever. It is one of
the most caustic of industrial chemicals. Fluoride is the active toxin
in rat poisons and cockroach powder,” notes Prevent
  Disease.

Moreover, hydrofluoric acid is used to refine high octane gasoline,
to make fluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons for freezers and air
conditioners, and to manufacture computer screens, fluorescent light
bulbs, semiconductors, plastics, herbicides, and remarkably toothpaste.

Fluoride is a big time neurotoxin. Substantial
research reveals it results in widespread brain damage and
learning disabilities. Extensive research on fluoride and the brain has
been prompted by studies from China, India, Iran, and Mexico
discovering that elevated levels of fluoride exposure are associated
with IQ deficits in children.

“Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time
reduce an individual’s power to resist domination, by slowly poisoning
and narcotizing a certain area of the brain, thus making him submissive
to the will of those who wish to govern him,” the chemist Charles Perkins wrote to the Lee Foundation for
Nutritional Research in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on 2 October 1954.

Perkins explained how the Nazis exchanged ideas with the Russians on
mass medication of a population through drinking water prior to
invading Poland in 1939. “I was told of this entire scheme by a German
chemist who was an official of the great IG Farben chemical industries
and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this
with all the earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent
nearly 20 years’ research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology
and pathology of fluorine — any person who drinks artificially
fluoridated water for a period of one year or more will never again be
the same person mentally or physically.”

Both Nazi and Soviet concentration camps maintained fluoride
administration to inmates to decrease resistance to authority.

However, of vital importance to our eugenics-minded rulers, fluoride
has repeatedly been found to interfere with reproduction. “A few human
studies suggested that high concentrations of fluoride exposure might
be associated with alterations in reproductive hormones, effects on
fertility, and developmental outcomes,” the National Research Council reported in 2006. In
1994, the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health
published a study demonstrating a correlation between fluoride and
reduced fertility and birth rates.

Fluoride is no longer confined to drinking water. According to the Agricultural Research Service, as of 2004 fluoride
was present in 400 separate food and beverage items.

None of this was mentioned in the WCVB TV news report. Instead we
are told to worry about melamine and cadmium, both certainly dangerous
but nowhere approaching the threat level posed by massive fluoride
poisoning.

As for the story researchers at WCVB TV, one has to wonder if maybe
their cognitive ability to get to the bottom of the real story was
seriously affected by a lifetime of fluoride ingestion.

Study shows Flu Shots are a hoax!

today.
A new Canadian-led study has added to a simmering scientific
dispute over flu-shot campaigns, concluding that immunizing nursing-home
workers does nothing to cut the number of confirmed influenza cases
among the homes' elderly residents.

Coming at the end of the largest flu-vaccination campaign in
Canadian history, the review of previous studies calls for stepped-up
research into alternative, lower-tech ways to combat the virus, such as
improved hand washing.

"What troubled us is that [shots] had no effect on
laboratory-confirmed influenza," said Dr. Roger Thomas of the University
of Calgary, lead author of the paper published by the respected
Cochrane Library.

"What we were looking for is proof that influenza ... is
decreased. Didn't find it. We looked for proof that pneumonia is
reduced. Didn't find it. We looked for proof deaths from pneumonia are
reduced. Didn't find it."

A prominent flu expert, however, calls the authors' conclusions
misleading, noting that vaccinating workers does, in fact, lessen the
amount of influenza-like sickness and the number of deaths from all
causes among those nursing-home denizens. That is all that really
matters, said Dr. Allison McGeer, infectious disease specialist at
Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital.

"There is [very little] that you or I can do that is more
effective at preventing deaths than vaccinating health-care workers in
long-term care facilities," she said. "That's the bottom line .... There
is no question."

The studies could not accurately gauge the effect of vaccination
on actual laboratory-confirmed flu cases in nursing homes, because so
few residents are tested, added Dr. McGeer. If labs had examined
specimens from everyone in the studies, the results would likely have
shown a reduction in confirmed flu cases, too, she said.

The new paper's co-author is Dr. Tom Jefferson, a British
epidemiologist who heads vaccine research for the respected Cochrane
Collaboration -- and who has earned a reputation as a scientific
dissident for his outspoken criticism of flu vaccination.

In media interviews last year, Dr. Jefferson was quoted as saying
he "can't see any reason" for vaccinating anyone against flu -- arguing
the shots did nothing to save lives -- and that most influenza-vaccine
studies are "rubbish."

Dr. McGeer said she finds it "mind boggling" that medical
journals that publish Dr. Jefferson's work do not question his
provocative analyses.

"Scientists are passionate about what they do. All of us have
belief systems and sometimes, as with any human endeavour, your belief
system overwhelms the scientific evidence," she said. "The purpose of
scientific method, the purpose of publication is to get back the
objectivity ... And we are not doing that effectively with Dr.
Jefferson."

The stakes in the debate are high. Governments spent more than
$400-million on acquiring H1N1 pandemic vaccine for Canadians. The
Ontario government alone spends about $23-million annually in providing
seasonal-flu shots free to anyone who wants them.

Penny Marshall

The English verb to chaperone comes from the French noun
'chaperon' - protector - and it is first recorded in Jane Austen's
novel Sense And Sensibility, published in 1811.

Then, the
reputation of a young woman was considered so precious that she was
protected at all times if in male company by the presence of another
woman: a chaperone.

In Jane Austen's world, a young woman and a young man were rarely, if ever, left alone together.

Two
hundred years later, with sexual and feminist revolutions behind us,
we're in a world where there are few, if any, boundaries in place to
'protect' a woman's honour.

Teenage boys are watching hours of internet pornography every week

Women are free to behave as they wish, sleep with whomever they
wish, and the vast amounts of sexual content on TV and in films attests
to that.

In fact, many women would argue that the very idea of being 'chaperoned' is restrictive and demeaning.

And
yet among today's teenage girls, the chaperone has made a surprising
and - as we shall come to see - disturbing comeback.

Today's
chaperone is called, in teenspeak, a 'third wheel'. And she is not
being forced on girls by concerned or controlling adults worried about
honour and etiquette.

Type the words 'sex pictures' into Google and it returns 83 million results in less than one-tenth of a second

The third wheel (the verb is 'to third wheel') has been re-invented
by the girls themselves because they want protection from the sexual
demands of their boyfriends.

When I spoke to many teenage girls
in researching the subject, they told me these demands are both
'disturbing and upsetting', and they are certain they're being fuelled
by what their boyfriends are watching online: hard-core, explicit porn.

This deeply worrying trend is finally starting to be noticed by those in authority.

Psychologist
Dr Linda Papadopoulos has just published a government report into the
sexualisation of children, and is certain that exposure to porn is
having an adverse affect on the lives of today's teenagers.

'My research has left me extremely concerned,' she says. 'A recent
survey showed that 54 per cent of boys found porn "really inspiring" in
terms of sexual performance. This worries me, because of the nature of
the material they are now watching.

'This isn't the type of
pornography that was around when we were teenagers. What kids are
seeing today is very often violent, and it has no intimacy, no respect,
no kindness, no context of sex within a loving relationship.

'It is very damaging to young people and to their relationships.'

This
'obsession' with porn has now permeated the internet. According to
statistics published in last week's report on the sexualisation of
children, a quarter of all search- engine requests are porn-related,
and 1.5 per cent of all the websites in existence are pornographic.

Only 37 per cent of parents have set up any parental controls on their teenagers' computers
(Posed by model)

Type
the words 'sex pictures' into the popular search engine Google and it
returns 83 <cite>million </cite>results in less than
one-tenth of a second.

Material that would have sparked an obscenity trial in my mother's day is now just a click away. It's deeply shocking.

While
most computers do now come with filters that can be activated to block
inappropriate material, the latest research by internet software
companies suggests only 37 per cent of families in the UK have set up
any sort of parental controls on their teenagers' computers.

But
modern teenagers are technology savvy: either they can get round the
controls themselves, or they can simply go to the house of a friend
whose access is not blocked.

John Carr, head of the Children's
Coalition on Child Internet Safety, warns that the advice to keep
children safe by not allowing them to access a computer alone in their
bedroom is already out of date.

'Boys just want us to do all the stuff they see porn stars do' one 16-year-old girl told me

'This stuff is everywhere now because of the way technology is
changing,' he says. 'Kids can get it on their mobile phones, through
their TV sets and iPods. Tragically, porn has never been easier to
access.'

And that 'easy access', according to a group of 15 to
17-year- old girls I met while researching this article, is changing
the way their boyfriends are approaching sex.

These young women
are articulate, confident, streetwise. They come from a selection of
London's top independent and state schools, are dressed in slinky black
skirts, dark tights, trendy T-shirts and Ugg boots.

They are charming and respectable, but what they tell me is shocking.

'Boys
just want us to do all the stuff they see the porn stars do,' one
16-year-old girl told me. 'It's as if we have to pretend we are in a
movie.

'They want us to dress like porn stars in sexy
underwear, have bodies that look like porn stars, and sound and behave
like them too when we are alone. That's why we like to have our friends
around us now.'

Another 15-year-old told me that what her 16-year-old boyfriend had wanted her to do had made her cry.

The
sexual request is not suitable to be described in a family paper, but
as the mother of three daughters aged 16,15 and 13, I found it
particularly upsetting.

The girl told me the act was now considered to be the final frontier by dare-devil teenage boys; the so-called 'fifth base'.

Reassuringly,
she did tell me she knew of no girl who had actually done it, and she
herself had refused and stopped seeing the boy. But when I was 15, I
had never even heard of it.

'It makes me feel so unhappy to be
even asked about this stuff by a boy,' one girl told me. 'So I try not
to be alone with a boyfriend any more, to have a third wheel whenever I
can.'

Depressingly, it does appear that for teenage boys online porn is becoming a fact of life

Another 16-year- old said, rather surprisingly, that while many
young girls might moan about their parents being too strict, she
actually resented her parents' 'forward-thinking' liberal attitude.

'I
wish my parents would say I'm not allowed to be home alone with a boy.
I wish they'd say boys aren't allowed in my bedroom. They make this big
deal about "trusting us", but that's not helping me. They have no idea
what goes on, and I'm too embarrassed to tell them.'

I meet
another young girl who is 16 and wants to be a lawyer. She has been
going out with a boy for four months and really likes him; but she says
he changes when they are alone together.

'He even starts
talking as if he's in a movie,' she says. ' Suddenly, when we are being
intimate, he'll say something that he must have heard in a porn film.
For example, he'll call me a "bitch" and use dirty language that he'd
never use normally.

'It's awful. It's so obvious he's copying
his actions from watching porn. No boy would call you beautiful. They
use words like "hot" and "sexy". That's why my friends and I like using
third wheels. We want protection.

'We don't, of course, want a
world where we are not equal, like it was in Jane Austen's day. But in
some ways we've gone back to inequality anyway because we are not being
treated equally when it comes to what boys want from us when we are
alone with them.

'It's all about performing sexual acts for them, and they assume we'll love it.'

Teenagers
have always exaggerated how far they are going - or being asked to
go - and how much sex they are having. So what they say about sex,
especially when in a group, has to be taken with caution.

But depressingly, it does appear that for teenage boys online porn is becoming a fact of life.

Only 37 per cent of families in the UK have set up any sort of parental controls on their teenagers' computers

Latest figures suggest that boys spend as much as three hours a week
gazing at porn; absorbing unrealistic images of aesthetically enhanced
people, many of whom are engaged in multi-partner, violent and
perverted sex acts.

Some teenage boys go further and join live sex chats with strangers.

Before
the internet, it was believed that the average age at which a boy was
first exposed to soft and still pornography - the sort that appears
in a top-shelf magazine like Playboy - was 11.

The online
material available now is much more explicit video, and the latest
research by the London School of Economics suggests that boys even
younger than 11 may accidentally or deliberately be watching it.

One
of the girls in the group I spoke to told me she found an nine-year-
old boy she was babysitting watching explicit porn on the family
computer when she went to read him his bedtime story.

'I think he did it to embarrass me,' she said. 'Which it most definitely did. I didn't tell his mother.'

Another
university student told me about a boy of 14 she knew who had become so
hooked on porn that his horrified parents had removed his bedroom door
so they could see what he was up to.

And the boys I spoke to while writing this piece freely admitted that they frequently watch online porn - and enjoy it.

The
first group I met were sixth-form boys at a boarding school. Some
admitted they did find it a useful way to learn about sex; others told
me they sought out the most hardcore material to send to each other
'for a laugh'.

When I asked if they felt they were being
desensitised by watching so much explicit material, they clearly
thought I was a prude.

In London, I met another group of boys
who told me that they, too, routinely watched porn and that it was a
good way of learning about sex and girls.

'It tells us how to
act and what they want,' one told me. 'So that has to be a good thing.
It doesn't mean we are sex maniacs. We are just not as uptight about
sex as your generation.'

That, disturbingly, is not what I found from talking to the girls.

Dr
Michael Flood, a sociologist based at the Australian Research Centre
for Sex Health and Society, is at the forefront of international
research into how exposure to internet porn is influencing the
behaviour of teenagers.

He has just completed a study examining the impact of porn on the young people who watch it.

'Boys
who watch explicit sexual material develop an increasing belief that
all of their friends and peers must all be highly sexually active,' he
told me. This, he believes, is desensitising them and putting them
under pressure to be doing the same.

'When boys are repeatedly
exposed to what I call nonmainstream-sexual behaviours, they may be
more likely to accept and adopt them as well.

'I am also very concerned that exposure to aggressive or violent pornography may be blurring the lines of consent.'

In other words, he believes boys who watch violent porn are more likely to behave violently.

None
of the girls I spoke to complained about sexual violence, but they did
talk about the difficulty of daring to say 'No' in a world that expects
them to say 'Yes'. And some did have experience of what they called
sexual bullying.

One girl told me a boy had used topless photos
of her to try to blackmail her into 'going further'. Another said her
boyfriend was quite 'aggressive in manner' when they were alone
together, which she didn't like or understand, using language that, she
believes, he learnt watching sadomasochistic porn.

They were
also all very frightened of the boys revealing intimate details about
what they called their 'performance' and body for public ridicule,
which with social networking sites such as Bebo and Facebook can be
done in seconds to a mass audience.

There was another aspect of
the boys' behaviour that they resented and feared: their interest in
seeing the girls behave sexually with each other - something they say
they are sure is coming from exposure to porn.

Sometimes, if we
play truth or dare, or spin the bottle at a party, they will ask us to
kiss each other,' one girl told me. 'And they'll joke about worse stuff
just to embarrass us. It is bullying.'

A recent survey carried
out by the NSPCC revealed that one in three teenage girls aged 13 to 17
had been subjected to unwanted sexual acts while in a relationship, and
one in four had suffered 'partner violence'.

The NSPCC's head
of child protection, Christopher Cloke, has described this as evidence
of a 'culture of confusion about what is acceptable among girls and
boys living in today's highly sexualised landscape'.

John Carr
agrees. He has for years been campaigning to put in place better
measures to protect children from this deluge of pornography, and now,
as the generation which has grown up exposed to such a deluge of porn
reaches sexual maturity, he fears the consequences.

'It should
be very much harder for kids to get at,' he says. 'Having filters
already activated at point of sale on all computers is an obvious
solution for worried parents. It would be a start.'

A good start for the next generation of girls, perhaps, but too late for this one.

We
now have girls who have grown up in such a highly sexualised
environment that some have been left feeling frightened and unhappy.
This, just at the time when they should be falling in love for the
first time and learning to trust the opposite sex.

We have
given our daughters the education and aspiration to be a prime minister
or an astronaut. But we haven't protected them from the sexualisation
that makes them so scared to be alone with a boy that they've quietly
brought back the chaperone.

When Jane Austen wrote Sense And
Sensibility 200 years ago, Marianne Dashwood says to her sister Elinor:
perhaps men 'do not see us as people but as playthings'. If Austen were
writing today, Marianne might have complained: men 'do not see us as
people, but as porn stars'.

Verichip/PositiveID Infomercial Featuring Mr Tinkles

From Episode Two of the film series “The Century of the Self” by Adam Curtis. The nephew of Sigmund Freud, Edward Bernays
started his business life as a publicist. While still in his twenties,
he was part of the propaganda effort that drove the United States into
in World War I (WW I.)

He personally advised several US presidents starting with Woodrow
Wilson and counseled numerous corporations and business associations.
Hitler’s propaganda chief and Nazi henchman Joseph Goebbels was a
reader and fan of Bernay’s writing in particular Bernay’s book
“Crystalizing Public Opinion.”

In this short excerpt from Curtis’s film we see one example of Bernays at work.

Bernays was one of the engineers of the Cold War. He perfected the
technique of manufacturing a distant but ever-threatening enemy and
then creating a constant state of fear by generating false news reports
that endlessly re-stated and exagerated the threat.

The stated purpose of Bernay’s methods was to give those in power
greater control over what he called “the mass mind.” It worked well in
the 1950s and sadly, it appears to be working quite well today… but
maybe not forever.

In response to the brazen effort on
behalf of Republicans and neo-conservatives to hijack the Tea Party, as
well as the establishment’s attempt to promote the Obama front “Coffee
Party” as a fraudulent alternative, we are announcing the creation of
The Real Coffee Party, an organization committed not to partisan
bickering, but to the basic principles outlined in the Constitution.

As we have constantly highlighted, the Tea Party began as an evolution of the End the Fed protests, which were founded and run by Ron Paul supporters in the latter half of 2007.

The original principles of the Tea Party were to
provide an alternative to both the Republicans and Democrats, by
emphasizing the need to abolish the Federal Reserve, reduce the size of
government, lower taxes, and withdraw from unnecessary and
unconstitutional foreign wars.

The Tea Party has since been hijacked and infiltrated by
the likes of Fox News, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, establishment
Republicans and neo-conservatives as an avenue through which to reclaim
partisan political power. This self-evident transformation has allowed
the establishment liberal media to demonize the Tea Party movement as
nothing more than an attack dog of the right-wing.

In addition, the portrayal on behalf of the media of
the Tea Party movement as an angry mob of extremists and racists has
created a vacuum which has been dutifully filled by the arrival of the
“reasonable,” “moderate” and “civil” Coffee Party movement, which in fact represents nothing more than a regurgitation of the top-down Obamanoid astroturfers
aided by the recruitment of naive liberals and disenfranchised minority
groups completely deceived as to the fact that they are being conned
once again.

The so-called Coffee Party movement is a contrived creation of the establishment itself, headed up as it is by a former Obama campaign operative
whose stated goal for the Coffee Party is to “re-engage the grassroots
movement that got Obama elected,” never mind the fact that the
grassroots has been completely abandoned by Obama as he pursues and
intensifies the same policies we saw under Bush – more foreign wars and
illegal occupations, continuing warrantless wiretapping of the American
people, failing to close Guantanamo Bay, failing to prosecute those who
ordered torture, failing to restore civil liberties lost under the
Patriot Act, increasing banker bailouts and ensuring the national debt
soars, while reversing almost every promise he made during the election
campaign.

The fact that the Coffee Party was
originally proposed as a reaction to the infiltration of the Tea Party
by Alex Jones listeners and Ron Paul supporters weeks before the
emergence of the establishment front Coffee Party led by Obama campaign
operative Annabel Park goes to show once again that our efforts to form
a non-partisan resistance movement against the big government agenda is
under constant assault from a system desperate to uphold the integrity
of the phony left-right paradigm.

By playing off the hijacked Tea Party and the
establishment front Coffee Party against each other, the establishment
hopes to neutralize the issues that the original Tea Party was founded
to promote – ending the Federal Reserve, shrinking the size of
government, and putting a stop to unprovoked and unconstitutional
foreign wars.

The Real Coffee Party is born out of the bullet proof
idea that the only way America can recover from the quagmire it finds
itself in is to reject the phony left-right paradigm that has wrought
so much damage and prevented people from finding a real alternative to
the constant rotation of Democrats and Republicans whose fundamental
core principles – big government, foreign wars, and shrinking
liberties, are a mirror image of each other.

The following Constitutional Code summarizes the tenets
of the Real Coffee Party platform. Unlike the Obama-affiliated Coffee
Party and the Republican hijacked Tea Party, these principles owe their
allegiance to the Constitution and the vision of the Founding Fathers,
not to partisan power politics and the contrived left-right paradigm.

THE CONSTITUTIONAL CODE

1)
Defend and secure the borders of the United States of America. Prevent
the illegal creation of “sanctuary cities” and enforce immigration laws.

2) Uphold the second amendment and repeal unconstitutional gun laws.

3) End the Federal Reserve’s stranglehold over the American economy.

4) Reject and repeal all international treaties that supersede the U.S. Constitution and violate national sovereignty.

5) Uphold medical privacy and completely outlaw forcible injections.

6) End all invasive, unprovoked and unconstitutional foreign wars.

7) Peacefully take back control of the states from increasing federal encroachment via the 9th and 10th amendments.

8} End the federalization and militarization of law enforcement.

9) End unconstitutional land grabs, neo-feudalism and outlaw carbon taxes fraudulently promoted in the name of climate change.

10) End the unconstitutional use of the Patriot Act against U.S. citizens.

Over the next few days we will be launching a new
website for the Real Coffee Party and invite you to join us by
promoting our beliefs to everyone you know and spreading the word.

Just like the establishment was able to launch the
fraudulent Coffee Party on the back of an aggressive viral Internet
campaign, we shall be attempting to do the same, starting with using
the twitter trends #coffeeparty – #teaparty and #realcoffeeparty to educate people about the genuine grassroots resistance to big government and the new world order.

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Yet another story about a school installing
surveillance cameras in bathrooms reminds us that, while parents are
treated as pedophiles for taking photographs of their own children, any
perversion whatsoever is acceptable as long as it is conducted by those
deemed to be in a position of authority.

“Outraged parents have hit out at a school in Birmingham after pupils discovered CCTV cameras in the school’s toilets,” reports Sky News.

“Youngsters at Grace Academy in Chelmsley Wood claim
they returned from half-term to find staff had installed the cameras
without notifying them or their parents.”

The report points to another recent case in Britain,
where a school in Salford filmed children in various stages of undress
changing into their gym kit.

Parents slammed the move as a “total invasion of
privacy” and many students refused to use the bathroom, but the school
claimed that installing cameras to watch children in the most intimate
setting possible was perfectly normal because “children want to feel
secure”.

So as long as it’s done in the name of safety and
security, watching children in bathrooms is acceptable. Perhaps child
molesters who are caught with kiddie porn should use the defense that
they are merely watching videos of children to make them “feel secure”.
But we’re forgetting the golden rule – you’re only allowed to engage in
such behavior if you happen to be ascribed some position of authority.

We have reported on numerous cases of school officials installing cameras in school bathrooms which allow perverts to spy on children in various stages of undress.

Compare this with the case of Kevin Geraghty-Shewan, a man who dared to take photographs of his own son in public riding a toy train.

(ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW)

Geraghty-Shewan was promptly interrupted by a security
thug who accused him of being a pedophile. The man was then approached
by a police officer and threatened with arrest for having the temerity
to get upset about the situation. Of course, the fact that
Geraghty-Shewan and his son were simultaneously being filmed by a
plethora of shopping mall CCTV cameras is beside the point – big
brother is allowed to watch us but we can’t even record our own
offspring without being lectured about how we’re potential child
molesters by those in petty positions of authority.

And it’s not just school corridors and bathrooms where kids are being spied on. Perhaps the most shocking aspect of the recent case in Philadelphia, where
a school district issued laptop computers to 1,800 students across two
high schools and then used concealed cameras within the machines to spy
on students and their parents without their knowledge or consent, is
the fact that school officials did not attempt to hide the scandal,
they bragged about it.

In a PBS news clip, the assistant principle in a
seperate case shows a reporter how, much to his own amusement, he spies
on kids via their laptops and even takes pictures of them.

“I always like to mess with them and take a picture,” chuckles the man as the reporter whitewashes the alarming spectacle.

Watch the clip.

If a pervert had been caught installing software on
laptops that enabled him to watch and record children, there would be
outrage, but again, when someone in a petty position of authority does
it, it’s normal and good.

A similar mindset can be seen with the introduction of naked body scanners, which despite the fact that they break child pornography laws,
are being used on children of all ages to produce crystal clear images
of their genitals which can be seen by airport security staff.

This cult-like mass mental illness that anything done
by an authority figure is acceptable strikes at the very root of
everything that’s wrong with our society today.

The broader argument is that schools across the western
world are now beginning to resemble prisons as children are surveilled,
policed and even arrested as criminals for the most benign adolescent behavior like doodling on a desk, as happened to 12-year-old Queens student Alexa Gonzalez recently.

Regular drug raids, strip searches and lockdowns all
inculcate within the child the notion that they are a prisoner of big
brother from an early age.

Anyone who can afford to get their children out of the
